AMD released the 10.8 version of their Catalyst video drivers, for all current Radeon and Radeon Mobility cards.
New features include full support for OpenGL ES 2.0 (it was previously beta), enhanced default quality profiles for video viewing, Antialiasing support for StarCraft II, CrossFire profile updates for Mafia 2, Singularity, Final Fantasy XIV, LotR Online, and Aliens vs. Predator, performance improvements for a short list of games, and perhaps most wanted: a fix for the “corrupt mouse cursor” bug that so many were complaining about.

If you joined the recent Starcraft 2 craze, maybe you experienced your screen suddenly going black in the middle of the game (I have, more than once). That is because Starcraft 2 has a bug that can cause your GPU to overheat. Apparently, game has no frame-rate cap by default, so lightweight scenes (like in-game menus) get rendered over and over again reaching crazy FPS until your graphics card melts down.
