You can get the Intel 82801 BA/BAM AC'97 driver here. Read on if a simple installation just won't solve your problems.
Do you have the most recent BIOS version?
We have discovered so far that many of our visitors have problems with drivers just due to the old version of BIOS. This is especially so with the integrated Intel AC'97 audio controller. So please make sure you have a recent BIOS version. Find the website of your motherboard manufacturer and they should host the updates.
What is the version of your driver?
The latest drivers are a prerequisite for reliable computer performance. You should just download the driver we provide and see if it will work.
Creating a restore point before any fundamental changes to the system, as driver installation is, is a must. In Windows XP you will find the option for this here: Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore.
