Canon Drivers OSX

Canon PIXMA iP1600 driver

A simple Canon PIXMA iP1600 driver download is here:

Windows 7/Windows 7 64-bit
Windows Vista/Windows Vista 64-bit
Windows XP/2000
Windows ME/98
Mac OS x 10.2/10.3/10.4/10/5
Mac OS X 10.5/10.6

The basic thing about these installations is that your printer should be powered on and connected. The software installed should tell you if you're doing something wrong.

Please be aware that the driver for Canon Pixma iP1600 should be available in Windows itself and you shouldn't have to install custom drivers. The Canon basically only offers accomanying software, and not the driver itself. This is because they are sure Windows has it. Users usually are simply not aware of this fact so they look for the driver. First just try to connect the printer and see if it works.

Here's a very helpful tip - don't miss creating a restore point in your system before you go for these drivers. Something may go wrong, and you'll be forever thankful you read this text. If you have bad luck and problems with your installation, you'll be able to reboot to safe mode and restore the previous system state.

If you have Widnows XP, go to Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore. This is the place where you should create the restore point. Give it a nice name, something like "Before canon pixma drivers".

If you are having trouble, you can post you problem below in the comments section so our community can try to help you out.
