Asus Touchpad Not Working
If you’re experiencing touchpad malfunction, it’s likely to be one of these two situations:
- Touchpad is disabled;
- Touchpad drivers are outdated.
In the first case, there are two simple solutions to fix this issue. Firstly, try enabling the touchpad via function keys. Accidentally pressing F6 or F9 keys can temporarily disable the touchpad, so try pressing Fn + F6 to enable it again.
If this doesn’t fix the issue, the second solution is checking if the touchpad is enabled in the settings. To do this, simultaneously press Windows + I to open the settings. Next, select Devices. You’ll need to find the Touchpad (see screenshot).

Select Additional Settings to see if the touchpad is actually enabled. If not, click Enable and then Apply. If the issue still continues to occur, then it may be a good idea to update or reinstall the Asus Touchpad driver.
