The ATI graphics series, also known as AMD Radeon after the acquisition of ATI by AMD in 2006, has been a prominent player in the graphics card market for several decades. The Radeon line, established by ATI and continued by AMD, encompasses a wide range of GPUs catering to various user needs, from entry-level to high-performance gaming and professional graphics applications.

One notable aspect of the ATI graphics series is its commitment to advancing technology. Over the years, Radeon GPUs have introduced innovative features such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) rendering, Tesselation, and AMD's Freesync technology for smoother gameplay experiences. These advancements have contributed to the series' reputation for delivering cutting-edge graphics capabilities. The Radeon Software, which accompanies these graphics cards, provides users with a comprehensive suite for optimizing graphics settings, monitoring performance, and updating drivers. Here's a short guide on installing the latest ATI graphics driver, which also includes the latest version of the Radeon Software we just mentioned.

In order to install the latest ATI graphics driver, start by scrolling to the bottom of this page. Once there, you'll find a Captcha verification that requires completing, after which you can press the Download button to get the files from our page.

The downloaded zipped folder will contain the latest ATI graphics driver for Windows and Linux operating systems. To gain access to the files themselves, right-click on the zipped folder, and select the Unzip or Extract option. The extracted files will be separated into two subfolders, each of which will support one operating system that we mentioned.

Windows users will find two executable (exe) files in the dedicated folder, which they can install by double-clicking on them. The files are compatible with the following versions of the operating system: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Windows 11.

Linux users will find a tar file. To install software from a tar archive, you'll need to access the file via the Terminal first. Open the Terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T), and use the cd command to navigate to the file location (make sure to use full file path). The next step is extracting the files from the tar archive with the xjf tar command. Lastly, follow up with ./configure to allow making changes to the system, and use the sudo make install command to install the software.
