The Broadcom BCM4352 is a high-performance wireless chip that provides both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It is based on the IEEE 802.11ac standard, which is known for delivering faster wireless speeds and improved network performance compared to older standards like 802.11n.
Supporting dual-band connectivity, the BCM4352 can operate on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, giving users the flexibility to optimize their wireless network based on the environment and application. This feature is particularly beneficial in environments where the 2.4 GHz band is crowded with devices, as switching to the less congested 5 GHz band can significantly enhance performance and reduce interference.
In terms of Wi-Fi performance, the BCM4352 supports data transfer rates of up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band when using 802.11ac, which makes it ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications such as streaming high-definition video, online gaming, and large file transfers. The chip also supports 802.11n on the 2.4 GHz band, with speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
