Epson ET-2400 Driver
Epson EcoTank ET-2400 Drivers, Print, Color & Connection Failures
This page exists because certain ET-2400 issues initially appeared to be simple setup or driver problems. The printer powered on, responded to commands, and in some cases printed partial output, yet color channels, wireless connectivity, or print consistency failed. In reported cases, reinstalling software alone did not consistently change the outcome.
Problem: Not printing all colors (only cyan and black output)
What users observed: Prints came out entirely blue or missing yellow and magenta. Nozzle checks showed only cyan and black patterns printing, with other color channels blank.
What was tried: Standard head cleaning cycles were performed repeatedly. Purge sheets were printed. The printer was connected through mobile devices when full computer setup was unavailable. Power cleaning and priming were considered.
How this played out: Standard cleaning cycles did not restore missing colors. Accessing the full driver utility allowed a power clean or ink flush function, which restored the missing channels.
Problem: Print quality appears fuzzy or low resolution
What users observed: Prints appeared soft or fuzzy, especially on standard settings. Output quality did not meet expectations immediately after setup.
What was tried: Print settings were reviewed and adjusted from default modes to higher quality or photo-specific profiles. Media type settings were changed.
How this played out: Switching to higher quality and correct media profiles significantly improved output. The issue was tied to default quality settings rather than hardware failure.
Problem: Cannot connect to Wi-Fi
What users observed: The printer failed to see or join the wireless network. Setup attempts through configuration apps reported that the product could not detect the same network as the device.
What was tried: Wi-Fi settings were reset. Connection was attempted through configuration apps and repeated setup processes. Alternative connection methods such as USB, Wi-Fi Direct, or hotspot configuration were considered.
How this played out: Reconfiguring wireless settings from scratch resolved the issue in some cases. The connection failure was not consistently tied to driver installation alone.
Problem: Large black ink splotches on page
What users observed: Large black blotches appeared, particularly in the lower half of pages. Lowering print density reduced the visibility but washed out color.
What was tried: Printhead cleaning cycles were performed. Visible ink was wiped manually. Media settings were reviewed. Thicker paper settings were considered.
How this played out: The issue aligned with head strike behavior on thicker stock. Adjusting media type to a thicker setting reduced contact between the printhead and paper surface.
Problem: Flashing green and orange lights, printer unusable
What users observed: The printer entered a flashing light state and would not accept jobs. Attempts to reset power did not restore operation.
What was tried: Firmware updates were attempted. USB drivers were reinstalled. USB ports were reset at the operating system level.
How this played out: Firmware updates restored normal power state in some cases. In other cases, simultaneous flashing indicated waste ink pad or internal counter conditions requiring service intervention.
Problem: Feeds paper but no ink prints
What users observed: The printer moved normally and fed paper, but output was completely blank. Alignment pages showed color but black failed to print.
What was tried: Cleaning cycles were run. Firmware was updated. Error codes were checked. Ink levels were confirmed in the reservoir.
How this played out: Extended cleaning or maintenance restored partial function in some cases. In other situations, the condition persisted and indicated deeper ink delivery or waste ink system limitations.
Problem: Lines reappear after cleaning every few pages
What users observed: After cleaning, prints were clear for several pages before horizontal lines returned. Repeated cleaning temporarily corrected the issue.
What was tried: Multiple cleaning cycles were performed. Paper alignment and feed positioning were adjusted. Paper was reseated to prevent folding or skewing.
How this played out: Adjusting paper alignment reduced recurrence. The issue was linked to paper movement and internal contact rather than driver configuration.
